DMCA Notice & Copyright Policy
VidSnap Pro, developed by Pinku's Lab, respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (DMCA), the text of which may be found on the U.S. Copyright Office website at https://www.copyright.gov/legislation/dmca.pdf, we will respond expeditiously to claims of copyright infringement committed using our service.
Copyright Policy Overview
VidSnap Pro functions as a browser-based parser of public media streams. We do not host, publish, or store files on our servers permanently, nor do we run an indexable directory of user-submitted links. Because we stream files directly from the hosting platforms (such as Instagram or X) to the user's browser, the primary hosting entity is the social media platform itself. However, we take intellectual property very seriously and will block our parser from accessing specific URLs, profiles, or domains upon receiving a valid infringement notice.
How to Submit a DMCA Notice
If you are a copyright owner, authorized to act on behalf of one, or authorized to act under any exclusive right under copyright, please report alleged copyright violations by completing a DMCA Notice of Alleged Infringement and delivering it to our designated agent. Upon receipt of the Notice, we will take whatever action, in our sole discretion, we deem appropriate, including blocking access to the contested URL or account.
Please deliver your completed DMCA Notice to our copyright department:
- Designated Legal Email: (Note: In the future, a dedicated domain email will be used. Please use the copyright request channel below)
- Submission Channel: Submit notices directly via our validated form below.

Submit Copyright Request📋 DMCA Notice Checklist
Ensure your submission to our contact form or legal correspondence contains all 7 of these required points to prevent processing delays:
- ✔ Copyrighted Work: A detailed description of the copyrighted work that has allegedly been infringed.
- ✔ Original URL: The location or page of the original authorized work (proof of copyright ownership).
- ✔ Infringing URL: The specific public link or post URL that you are requesting us to block on VidSnap Pro.
- ✔ Contact Details: Your physical mailing address, working telephone number, and official email address.
- ✔ Good Faith Statement: A declaration that you believe in good faith the disputed use is not authorized.
- ✔ Accuracy Statement: A declaration under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and you own the rights.
- ✔ Signature: Your electronic signature (full legal name) or scanned physical signature.
Repeat Infringer Policy
Since VidSnap Pro does not have user accounts, registrations, or file hosting databases, we cannot ban "users" in a traditional sense. However, to prevent repeat copyright violations, we employ IP-based rate-limits, access tokens verification, and automated domain blacklisting. If a specific public profile or domain is repeatedly identified in valid copyright notices, our server will permanently block our link checker from parsing URLs pointing to that content.
Counter Notice Procedures
If you believe that your public link was blocked in error or that you hold appropriate permission to use the utility on the disputed link, you can submit a Counter Notice. Your Counter Notice must include your legal name, signature, identification of the blocked URL, and a statement under penalty of perjury that the block was a result of mistake or misidentification. Send all Counter Notices to our legal email or contact page.
Verified Rights Owner Protection Program (VROP)
To proactively prevent copyright infringement, VidSnap Pro offers a Verified Rights Owner Protection Program (VROP). Content creators, media networks, and copyright holders can request the permanent blacklisting of specific profile links, tags, or domains. Once a profile is added to our blacklist, our backend server will automatically reject all parsing queries for links originating from that profile. This helps rights holders secure their exclusive content and prevents unauthorized format checks. To apply for the VROP program, please submit your request along with proof of account ownership through our official contact form.
DMCA Legal Framework Compliance
The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), passed in 1998, provides a legal framework for protecting intellectual property rights on the internet. Section 512 of the DMCA protects online service providers and technical utilities from copyright liability under 'Safe Harbor' rules, provided they implement strict procedures to receive copyright notices and remove or disable access to infringing materials. VidSnap Pro complies fully with these standards by acting as a passive formatting utility and immediately blocking any public URL stream that is verified as unauthorized or infringing by the rights holders.
Guidelines for Trademark Abuse and Brand Protection
In addition to copyright protection, VidSnap Pro is committed to preventing trademark infringement and brand abuse. Trademark laws protect brand names, logos, and slogans from unauthorized use that is likely to cause consumer confusion. If you believe that your trademarked assets are being misused on our website in a way that suggests endorsement or affiliation with VidSnap Pro, please submit a detailed trademark complaint through our contact form. Your complaint should include: your trademark registration details, the jurisdiction of registration, the specific URLs where the misuse occurs, and your direct contact details. We will review all complaints and take necessary actions to resolve the dispute.
Legal Safe Harbors under the OCILLA
The Online Copyright Infringement Liability Limitation Act (OCILLA), which is part of the DMCA, establishes safe harbors that shield internet service providers (ISPs) and search engines from monetary damages when their users commit copyright infringement. To qualify for this shield, the service provider must not have actual knowledge of the infringement, must not receive a financial benefit directly attributable to the infringing activity, and must act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the infringing material upon receiving a valid notification. VidSnap Pro adheres to all OCILLA requirements to protect our platform and cooperate with rights holders.
Policy Updates and Amendments
Pinku's Lab reserves the right to modify, amend, or update this DMCA Notice Policy at any time to reflect changes in intellectual property laws or technical operations. We recommend that users and rights holders check this page periodically to stay informed about our copyright compliance standards and dispute resolution procedures.
