Privacy Policy
At VidSnap Pro, accessible from https://savemp4now.netlify.app/, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors. This Privacy Policy document contains the types of information that are collected, recorded, and processed by VidSnap Pro and how we use it. We operate in strict compliance with global data protection guidelines, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for European residents and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) for California residents.
Information We Process
VidSnap Pro operates as a server-side media checking utility. Unlike typical SaaS platforms, we do not require account registration, email sign-ups, or credit card details. We minimize data collection to the absolute technical minimum required to parse video URLs and present formatting tables to the user. We only process technical data submitted voluntarily during a session.
Public URLs Submitted by Users
When you paste a social media URL into our link checker, our backend server reads that string to query platform APIs. This URL check is processed in active transit. We do not catalog, index, or store these submitted URLs in a public registry or historical database. Once the request is parsed and the quality options are shown in your browser, the URL string is released from memory. We do not keep a log matching your IP address to the specific public links you check.
Temporary File Processing
For advanced workspaces, such as packaging multiple video links into a Batch ZIP archive or extracting an MP3 audio track from a public link, our backend server performs temporary file processing. During these actions, raw video and audio streams are piped through our virtual server memory (RAM) or stored in restricted, temporary directories on our server. This temporary processing is carried out solely to complete the requested formatting or compression. Files are immediately streamed to your browser thread and permanently deleted from our server cache within seconds of download completion. We do not host or distribute these files.
Server Logs
VidSnap Pro follows standard web server logging protocols. When you access our website, our server hosting provider automatically registers basic diagnostic requests in log files. These server logs include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamps, referring and exit pages, and click paths. This diagnostic metadata is not linked to any personally identifiable information. The purpose of server logs is strictly for monitoring server health, diagnosing API connectivity errors, preventing DDoS attacks, and ensuring infrastructure security.
Cookies, Analytics and Advertising
Like most modern utility websites, VidSnap Pro utilizes "cookies" (small text files saved to your local device) to store interface configurations, such as your preference between Single Link and Batch ZIP mode. Cookies also help third-party analytics services (Google Analytics) compile anonymous aggregate traffic trends.
To keep VidSnap Pro free, we serve advertisements. Our advertising partners, including Google AdSense, use cookies to display personalized ads. Google uses the DoubleClick DART cookie to serve ads based on your visits to VidSnap Pro and other websites. You can opt-out of personalized advertising by visiting the Google Ad Settings page or configuring your choices via global browser tools.
Regulatory Privacy Compliance (GDPR, CCPA & COPPA)
We are fully committed to protecting children's privacy online. VidSnap Pro is a general-audience web tool and does not knowingly collect or request personal information from children under the age of 13. Parents and guardians who notice any unauthorized data transmission or usage are encouraged to contact our privacy compliance team via our secure contact form so that we can take swift corrective actions. Furthermore, we comply with California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) standards by ensuring California residents can browse anonymously and opt-out of personalized ad networks at any time.
Detailed GDPR and CCPA Data Subject Rights
Under European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), users possess explicit rights regarding their personal datasets. These rights include: the right to access (knowing what data is collected), the right to rectification (correcting inaccurate records), the right to erasure (the 'right to be forgotten'), the right to restrict processing, the right to object to processing, and the right to data portability. Since VidSnap Pro operates on a zero-account, zero-registration model, we do not compile individual user profiles, database tables, or historical logs that connect individual identities with search parameters. However, you can control your data footprint by clearing browser cache and cookies, or requesting URL blacklist blocks.
Google AdSense and Cookies Disclosure
To support hosting infrastructure and server operations, VidSnap Pro serves advertisements managed by third-party vendor networks, primarily Google AdSense. These advertising partners utilize specialized double-click DART cookies to track visitor paths and present personalized ads based on past browsing histories. These tracking cookies record anonymous diagnostic metrics, such as geographical regions, browser types, and screen resolutions, but they never capture private details like personal names, email addresses, or phone numbers. You can customize cookie settings or opt-out of personalized advertising entirely by configuring choices via your Google Ads Settings panel or utilizing global opt-out tools like the Network Advertising Initiative portal.
Cookie Policy and Web Beacon Specifications
To provide a highly optimized user experience, VidSnap Pro uses temporary cookies and web beacons. Web beacons are small transparent graphic images that may be used on our site or in our communications to monitor visitor behavior and compile statistical reports about site traffic. Unlike tracking cookies used by ad networks, our internal web beacons do not collect or transmit any personally identifiable data. Their sole purpose is to help us evaluate the performance of our user interface, optimize page speed load times, and analyze server performance under high concurrent loads. You can disable all cookies and web beacons via your browser's security settings without affecting the core functionality of the format checking tool.
Updates to this Privacy Charter
We reserve the right to revise, modify, or update this Privacy Policy at any time to maintain compliance with changing data protection laws and platform APIs. Any updates will be posted directly on this page with an updated 'Last Updated' date at the top of the page. We encourage our visitors to review this policy periodically to stay informed about our data handling practices and how we protect their digital privacy. Your continued use of the website after any updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised privacy terms.
International Data Transits and Cross-Border Transfers
Since VidSnap Pro processes video format queries globally, data transits may occur across international borders depending on your geographical location. Our hosting infrastructure is designed to process and discard session URL data instantly, minimizing the risks associated with cross-border data transits. We enforce high encryption standards (SSL/TLS 1.3) during all phases of API communication to protect user privacy from intercept threats.
Security and Data Retention
We implement robust security measures to protect user data. All communications between your browser and our servers are encrypted using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) / HTTPS protocol. We use rate limiters, web application firewalls, and security headers to block unauthorized API access.
Because we do not use registration databases or save files, our data retention footprint is minimal. Submitted URLs are discarded immediately after format inspection. Temporary files created during batch zipping or MP3 extraction are deleted immediately upon browser save. Aggregate analytics data and server logs are retained for a standard period (typically 30 to 90 days) for security compliance and diagnostic auditing, after which they are permanently overwritten.
User Choices and Rights
Under regulations like GDPR and CCPA, you have specific choices regarding your privacy. You can choose to browse our website in Private/Incognito mode, disable third-party cookies in your browser, or decline ad tracking via cookie consent banners. Since we do not store names, email addresses, or user profiles, we do not have individual databases to delete or export, but we are committed to respecting your choices and protecting your digital footprint.
