FAQ Help Center

Welcome to VidSnap Pro's FAQ Help Center. We have compiled 25 of the most common questions regarding our web utilities, platform compatibility, format checking, file zipping, legal disclaimers, and user privacy configurations. Browse or search by section to find answers quickly.

1. General Questions

VidSnap Pro is a browser-based web utility developed by Pinku's Lab. It parses public social media links, checks available resolutions, codecs, and sizes, and streams the selected format directly to the user's browser for personal backup, research, or archival use when permitted.
Yes, VidSnap Pro is 100% free. We do not require registration, subscription codes, credit card authorizations, or user profile configurations.
No. VidSnap Pro operates entirely in your web browser. You do not need to install mobile apps, desktop software, or browser plug-ins to use our service.
Yes. Using our Batch ZIP Media Tool, you can queue up to 20 public links concurrently, select which files to include, and package them into a single organized ZIP folder.
Batch ZIP supports up to 20 links per submission. Usage may be limited if abuse, automated traffic, server protection, or platform rate limits are detected.

2. Supported Platforms

We currently support public link checking for Instagram (Reels and standard video posts), Facebook (public videos), Twitter/X (video posts), and Kwai/Kuaishou (short video feeds).
No. To comply with advertising safety guidelines and platform policies, VidSnap Pro only supports the public link sources listed on this site. Unsupported URLs will show an unsupported-platform message.
Some short-form platform links are not supported by our current backend. We focus on Instagram, Facebook, X, and Kwai public links.
No. VidSnap Pro cannot parse media from private accounts, restricted groups, or hidden stories. Our tool respects platform privacy shields and only processes fully public content.
Go to the public video post in the social application, tap the share icon (paper airplane, three dots, or arrow), and select 'Copy Link'. Paste this string directly into VidSnap Pro.

3. Formats & Media Quality

VidSnap Pro checks available public format options that may be shown by supported platforms where technically available.
If the platform provides public HD options for media you are allowed to save, VidSnap Pro may show 1080p or 720p choices.
If the media is your own, licensed, public domain, or permission-based, VidSnap Pro may show an audio-only option where technically available.
Bitrate is the amount of video data processed per second. Higher bitrates (e.g., 5000 kbps) offer crisper, clearer motion playbacks but generate larger file sizes compared to low bitrates.
Social platforms compress media using Variable Bitrates (VBR), meaning the bitrate shifts during action sequences. The sizes listed in our format grid are averages.

4. Troubleshooting Common Errors

This error occurs if the pasted URL is misspelled, points to a private account, has country restrictions, has been deleted by the owner, or if platform servers are rate-limiting backend queries.
Browsers are designed to play MP4 streams directly. On desktop, right-click the playing video and select 'Save Video As...'. On mobile iOS Safari, tap the Share icon and select 'Save to Files'.
Zipping issues typically arise if the queue contains a broken or private URL, if your browser loses connection during compression, or if the combined size exceeds memory buffers. Try zipping 5-10 files at a time.
If a browser saves a video with a generic name (e.g., videoplayback without extension), rename the file and append .mp4 at the end of the filename.
Some platforms provide audio and video in separate technical streams. If sync issues appear, try a lower quality option or a fresh public link.
VidSnap Pro can be used lawfully when you own the media, have permission, or the media is licensed/public domain. Users are responsible for copyright compliance.
No. VidSnap Pro does not host a public database, index user URLs, or store saved files on server hard drives permanently. Files are processed in transit and cleared immediately.
We strictly oppose copyright infringement. We do not support downloads of commercial media, DRM-locked content, or private accounts. We block our parser from accessing specific accounts or URLs upon DMCA request.
VidSnap Pro is free to use and aims to offset hosting costs using non-intrusive display advertisements (such as Google AdSense) located away from tool operation buttons. Ads are never placed inside the tool action flow.
Please submit copyright concerns through the official contact form and include the required ownership details.
